The Society will hold its annual Preservation Day dinner at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 12th at St. Timothy Methodist Church. A covered dish supper will be followed by a history of Cherokee settlements in Transylvania County given by Dr. Keith Parker. Members, guests and visitors welcome. |

Season Opening |

The Allison-Deaver House will open for the 2008 season on Saturday, May 31st. Hours are Saturdays 10 -4 and Sundays 1-4. Special tours may be booked by calling (828) 884-5137. Admission: Adults $5, children over 6 years $3, children under 6 free. Family rate $15. |

Antiques Appraisal Fair |

Our second Antiques Appraisal Fair will be held on Saturday, June 7th between 1 and 3 o'clock at St. Timothy Church. Three antiques professionals will be on hand to provide verbal appraisals of decorative arts pieces, jewelry, furniture, prints, paintings and collectibles. Cost is $5 per item. No general admission charge. Free refreshments. Line will be formed first come-first served. This is a fun fund-raiser and everyone is invited! |
